On the day of light, when the sun shines longest and darkness is kept at bay, we celebrate the arrival of summer with a friendly gathering and the magic of flame. As the sun begins to set and the trolls of the forest commence their tricks, join us as we light a fire of celebration and reflection to usher in the coming summer months.
The flame will flare at 6:30 at Greensfelder Park. The Norwegian flags will be flying in the wooded picnic area outside of the Visitor’s Center.
Reservations not required, but for all that brave the spirits of the woods, should come prepared with a picnic dinner for themselves and $5 for the Norwegian Society.
Cancellation expected if rain or severe heat warnings occur.

Dr. Chuck Norland will bring his pictures taken in Norway celebrating St. Hans Aften and the night of magic.
